How to request account deletion

To request deletion of your DropSpot account and associated cloud data, send an email to tekcosupport@tekcolabs.com with the subject line DropSpot Account Deletion Request.

Please include:

  • The email address or Google/Apple account used to sign in to DropSpot.
  • A short statement that you want your DropSpot account and associated cloud data deleted.
  • Whether you also want any cloud backup data reset or removed.

For security, we may ask you to verify that you control the account before completing the request.

What data is deleted

When we process an account deletion request, we will delete or disable account-associated DropSpot cloud data where reasonably possible, including:

  • Cloud backup records associated with your DropSpot account.
  • Cloud backup metadata associated with your DropSpot account.
  • Account identifiers used by DropSpot for cloud backup and restore.
  • Encrypted cloud backup content associated with your account, where applicable.

What may not be deleted automatically

DropSpot is local-first. Some data may exist only on your device and may not be accessible to TEKCO Labs. To delete local data, delete drops inside the app, clear app data, or uninstall DropSpot from your device.

Deleting your DropSpot cloud account or cloud backup data does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple or Google. To cancel a subscription, use the subscription settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Some limited records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or operational purposes.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can delete some or all DropSpot data without deleting your account:

  • Delete individual drops in the app.
  • Delete all local drops in the app.
  • Reset or remove cloud backup data where the app provides that option.
  • Email us to request deletion of cloud backup data while keeping your account active.

Processing time

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Some requests may take longer if additional verification is needed, if the request is complex, or if retention is required by law.
