This page explains how DropSpot users can request deletion of their account and associated cloud data. It also explains what data is deleted, what data may remain on the device, and how long deletion requests may take to process.

We delete account-associated cloud backup data where reasonably possible.
Data stored only on your device must be deleted from the app or device.
To request deletion of your DropSpot account and associated cloud data, send an email to tekcosupport@tekcolabs.com with the subject line DropSpot Account Deletion Request.

When we process an account deletion request, we will delete or disable account-associated DropSpot cloud data where reasonably possible, including:
DropSpot is local-first. Some data may exist only on your device and may not be accessible to TEKCO Labs. To delete local data, delete drops inside the app, clear app data, or uninstall DropSpot from your device.
Deleting your DropSpot cloud account or cloud backup data does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple or Google. To cancel a subscription, use the subscription settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Some limited records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or operational purposes.
You can delete some or all DropSpot data without deleting your account:
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Some requests may take longer if additional verification is needed, if the request is complex, or if retention is required by law.
