Terms of Use

DropSpot Terms of Use

Effective date: June 27, 2026

These Terms of Use explain the rules that apply when you use DropSpot, the TEKCO Labs website, and related services provided by TEKCO Labs LLC.

If you have questions, contact us at tekcosupport@tekcolabs.com.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using DropSpot or the TEKCO Labs website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use DropSpot or related services.

2. About DropSpot

DropSpot helps you save and find information about items, places, and details by creating drops that may include a photo, label, note, category, time, and location. DropSpot is intended as a helpful memory and organization utility, but it is not a guarantee that any item, place, file, photo, backup, or location will always be available or recoverable.

3. Your responsibility for saved information

You are responsible for the information you create, save, delete, back up, or restore in DropSpot. You should not use DropSpot as the only record for critical information. Keep independent copies of important records, documents, access credentials, safety information, or legally important data.

4. Location, photos, and permissions

DropSpot may ask for access to your camera, photos, and location so that you can create drops. You control these permissions through your device settings. Some app features may not work as intended if permissions are denied or disabled.

5. Cloud Backup & Restore

Cloud Backup & Restore is a Premium feature. Backups depend on your account, subscription status, internet connection, cloud settings, device state, and recovery key availability.

DropSpot uses encryption for cloud backups, but recovery may require the correct recovery key. If a recovery key is lost, unavailable, or changed, some encrypted backup content may not be restorable. TEKCO Labs is not responsible for data that cannot be restored because the necessary recovery key or account access is unavailable.

6. Premium subscriptions

DropSpot may offer paid Premium features, including cloud backup and restore. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform. Subscription pricing, renewal, cancellation, refund handling, and billing terms are managed by the applicable app store.

During TestFlight or other beta testing environments, subscription purchases may be simulated or handled through sandbox systems and may not result in real charges. Production app-store subscriptions are governed by the applicable store terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse DropSpot or related services. You may not:

  • Use DropSpot for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
  • Attempt to access, disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with DropSpot systems.
  • Upload or store content that violates laws or the rights of others.
  • Use DropSpot in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the service.

8. No emergency or safety reliance

DropSpot is not an emergency, safety, navigation, medical, legal, or security service. Location and guidance features may be inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or affected by device settings, GPS conditions, network connectivity, or operating system behavior.

9. Intellectual property

DropSpot, TEKCO Labs branding, app design, website content, logos, text, graphics, and related materials are owned by TEKCO Labs LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use them except as allowed by law or with written permission.

10. Third-party services

DropSpot may rely on third-party services such as Apple, Google, Firebase, and app-store billing systems. Those services may have their own terms, privacy policies, and availability limitations.

11. Beta features and changes

DropSpot may be offered as a beta or pre-release product. Beta features may change, break, be removed, or behave differently across devices. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

12. Disclaimers

DropSpot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEKCO Labs disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEKCO Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of DropSpot.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use as DropSpot changes. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of DropSpot after an update means the updated terms apply.

Note: These Terms of Use are written in plain language for clarity. They should be reviewed periodically as DropSpot features, subscriptions, store requirements, or legal requirements change.
